RIAS Andrew Doolan Award for the Best Building in Scotland

Back in June we announced that the Greyfriars Kirkhouse extension, home to the Grassmarket Community Project, was an RIAS 2014 Award winner and shortlisted for the prestigious RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award. There were 83 submissions to the RIAS 2014 Awards, ranging in cost from £26,000 to £25 million and competition was fierce, but in the event it was the redevelopment of Advocate’s Close, Edinburgh by Morgan McDonnell Architecture that won Best Building in Scotland.

In other news, Mr Douglas Macfarlane has taken up the post of Trustee and Honorary Secretary as of the 1st January 2015.
