The Edinburgh Central Foodbank is now up and running. Under the auspices of the Trussell Trust network and locally facilitated by the Edinburgh Food Network, charity number SC043220, the Foodbank operates out of three centres: The Grassmarket Centre at Candlemaker Row, the Central Hall on Lothian Road and Broughton St. Mary’s Church on Bellevue Crescent.
Opening hours are:
Monday 14:00 – 16:00 and Thursday 10:00 – 12:00 [Central Hall]
Tuesday 14:00 – 16:00 and Friday 14:00 – 16:00 [Grassmarket Centre]
Wednesday 10:00 – 13:00 and Thursday 13: 16:00 [Broughton]
Volunteers will be welcome for a variety of tasks. Anyone interested in assisting with this venture should contact the Grassmarket Community Project.
