It is with great regret that the Trustees announce the resignation of Douglas Macfarlane as Honorary Secretary of the Grassmarket Mission, with effect from 30th September, 2016. Simon Bolam will now take over the joint roles of Honorary Secretary and Treasurer.
Douglas carried out his duties as both Treasurer and then Secretary with diligence and dedication. He had a pivotal role during the period when the Grassmarket Community Project was set up jointly by both the Grassmarket Mission and Greyfriars Kirk, giving much of his time and energy to this endeavour.
The Chairman in particular is greatly appreciative of the help and support given to him by Douglas and he will be sorely missed.
