The work of the Grassmarket Furniture project is highlighted in a recent BBC Scotland News report.

This month the Grassmarket Community Project, a joint venture between Grassmarket Mission and Greyfriars Kirk, was highlighted in a BBC Scotland news report featuring the work of the Grassmarket Furniture initiative.

The report by Elizabeth Quigley, illustrates some of the very real benefits that those who are involved can take from the project, which uses the wood from old church pews and transforming it into new, bespoke wooden furniture.

The Grassmarket Furniture project is a self-sustaining social enterprise established as part of the Grassmarket Community Project to provide work, training and enhanced life opportunities for people facing long term social exclusion.
