Greyfriars Kirkhouse – The Ground Floor

If you thought May was a wet month, June made it seem almost summery with more than twice the average rainfall for the time of year. Nonetheless, progress continues apace.

The wooden boards for the ground floor all went down early in the month and were covered with plastic sheeting to protect them from the weather then quite quickly followed by the erection of the ground floor partition walls and the boundary scaffold.

Work was also started on the Kirk House with the walls and windows taken out at ground and upper floor levels in preparation for the access through to the extension.
